Masoor Thick Daal - Prasad Naik
Soak 1/4 kg Masoor Daal overnight. Wash the Daal. In a pressure cooker 2 tbsp of oil to be heated, add 2 Tejpatta, 2 Inch Cinnamon, 4 big Onions- fine chopped, 1tsp Garlic paste, 1/2 tsp Ginger paste, 2 tsp Red Chilli powder, 2 tsp Coriander Powder, 1 tsp Garam Masala, 1/2 tsp Haldi, 2 fine chopped Tomatos, mix & cook till Onions are little brown and Tomatoes are soft.
Now add overnight soaked and washed Masoor Daal, 1tsp salt, 6 glasses of water and put the lid on. Take 4 whistles of Pressure Cooker. Put off the gas and Let the lid be on for few minutes. Take the pressure off and open the lid.
Now add 2 Kokum and 1/2 cup of fresh coriander and your Thick Masoor Daal is ready to serve.
